Great Fun
I actually bought this game after playing 2 and 3 and was curious as to what the original was like. If like me you are getting this after playing 2 and 3 the only difference is there is no practise mode which is a shame. Other than that it is just as fun and as addictive as the other 2 and with great tracks to boot. All in all well worth getting if you like the others or to get into guitar hero itself.
Totally Addictive!!
My sister actually works for the company that designed the game and she offered it to me for very cheap but i declined...big mistake!
Having played guitar for 5 years and having got to a fairly high level, (being able to play the metal songs i like and listen to), i didnt really see much point in getting it and playing songs i didnt listen to on a plastic guitar with 5 buttons. However, i went round to her house the other day and thought 'what the heck?' and gave it a whirl.....oh my god!
This game is hugely addictive and even though you're just pressing buttons you get the same satisfaction from getting high accuracy as you do playing a song on a real guitar!! it had me nodding my head and strutting about the place like an idiot! it was fantastic!
Highly recommended for music lovers who never managed to learn an instrument or didnt have the time to...its a similar buzz to playing for real! Also recommended for sceptical 'real' guitar players such as myself...ditch your preconceptions about playing something tantamount to an air guitar and give it a go! you won't regret it!
in a word: Brilliant!
Sheer joy
We have both the first and second games at home and I must admit that the first was my favourite. A fantastic collection of songs that had me wanting to play more. For two to three months straight this is all my friends and I did on weekends. I would recommend this game very highly but not so much the second one. I found that for me it was just too difficult to progress through the levels and as such I gave up. If you want a really hard challenge then number 2 is for you. I also think that the song selection on the first was better.
