I think this is a good little player
I read the reviews on this player and I wasn't sure about purchasing it. I do have a few phillips devices and I have been very happy with the quality of them so I decided to ignore most of the comments on this site.

I am very happy with the player, the sound without the earplugs could be a bit better but it is much better then most of the other players available.

I also managed to change the player into a multi region player by finding the code on the internet, this was one of the main features I wanted from a player as I have a few Canadian DVD's.

The player came with a remote, car lighter adapter, Rechargable Battery pack, AC Adapter and AV cable.

The player is very trendy, looking a bit like the ipod.

I would recommend this player as the price is not too expensive so if you misplace it or it gets stolen it won't be as bad.

A big thumbs up from me!

Philips PET 720 - multi region
This is a really good little player, picture is fantastic and it's everything I expected from the specification.
I made it multi-region too, using the following instructions;
Switch the player on and open the DVD tray lid inside the machine.
Press Setup on the remote control.
Move the menu selector down to Preferences and then press the Right arrow.
Press 2, 1, 2, 2, 2 and then 5.
Press Left arrow.
Press Down arrow.
The screen should then display Region Code. Press 0.
Press Setup on the remote again to exit.

Fantastic piece of equipment
I ordered this for my six year old and was delighted that it delivered everything as promised. The picture quality is excellent (very watchable even for an adult), good sound quality, cute remote control, and it has a very neat and sleek appearance. The battery pack is also very compact and does not detract from the look of the player, and has a longer life than any other players I looked at. I'd recommend this as a very good buy.
