Did not work with my external USB HDD
I bought this to increase available USB current to spin up my WD 250GB Passport HDD. It works by doubling the available current through use of two USB ports. Unfortunately, still insufficient current as the drive would not spin up. The WD Passport drive does not have a socket for an external PSU and can only be supplied via USB.
