"tested to destruction"
I first saw this case on the gadget show's tested to distruction it came out in first place, the only thing that stopped it from working was to blow it up with some dynamite! very impressive, i have to agree it keeps my ipod in perfect condition, it also comes with differant sized spacers for the 30GB & 80GB versions highly recomended
better than expected
I got this plastic case for my 80gb. It fits well & does what it says.
My car connection headphone socket was too large but was easily customised
Beware if you want to access the bottom input/output- not with this armour
Read the advertising carefully - NOT for 80G iPod Classic
I bought this on the advice of reviewers, despite comments about the bottom socket being unavailable. Both reviewers have mentioned 80 G iPods - WARNING the box only says 30 and 60 G (video) iPods - I only found out after I had opened it like a kid does with a present. My 80G does NOT fit snugly into it; it rattles quite a lot. This item is not made for the 80G iPod Classic. It will do as a protective case, but I cannot use the scroll wheel when it is inside, and there is no access to the docking port at the bottom. I'd actually be surprised if you could use the scroll wheel with the 30G or 60G models, as the rubber is so thick that I can't imagine it would transmit enough finger pressure - I'd be interested to hear from other users. I will use it in the car, when I can set volume before encasing the iPod, but the inability to charge it is going to annoy me.
