Product Description

The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called "forms"), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery, the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves. The game's full-body controls add a whole new level of insanity to an already frenetic experience. With more than 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. Players steer cars, twirl pizzas, saw logs and dance their way to victory. All they need to be the champ is confidence, a Wii Remote and their best moves.

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review:
In a nutshell:
Wario is back with more new ways to use the Wii Remote than you'd ever imagine. Whether it's balancing it on your head or chopping vegetables in mid-air this is one game where you'll literally never know what's coming next.

The lowdown:
Anyone that's played a previous Wario Ware game will have some idea of the insanity that awaits in this first Wii outing. Just like the portable versions the game contains over two hundred micro-games, most of which don't last any longer than five seconds. This provides the perfect excuse to use the Remote in as many ridiculous ways as possible, with each game using one of a dozen or so different ways of holding it, from the "waiter", where you hold it flat on your palm, to the "hula hoop" where you hold it against your hip. The actual games involve everything from picking someone's nose in 3D, to balancing an umbrella on your finger tips and replacing a granny's false teeth. It's just as silly as it sounds but easily the most instantly enjoyable game on the Wii.

Most exciting moment:
Like the GameCube game WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$, Smooth Moves also has a multiplayer mode for up to four people, as you both take turns with the single player games and join in together with specially made mini-games.

Since you ask:
Although there are a number of different modes the main single player campaign still includes a longer "boss battle" at the end of each set of themed micro-games. The only one that's been shown so far involves driving a car around using the remote and trying to avoid monkeys and cows on the road.

The bottom line:
The Wii Remote gets a through workout in the funniest Wario Ware yet.- HARRISON DENT

Edge
The freedom of movement and thought is absolutely intoxicating.

Bigger than before and funny enough to make anyone smile

My favourite game on the wii5
I love this game. It gets you right into the action from the beginning. When I have parties, this games really gets the mood up. All I have to do is to hand them the wiimote and tell them to hold it as the picture shows at the beginning of each minigame and off we go. The learning curve is pretty short and after a short attempt in the beginning with them sporting confused faces and generating laughter all around, things get a little more competitive and we come up with punishment and dares of the one who gets the lowest score on the same level on the single player.

As for the complaints of the negative reviews, I have to disagree. The cut scenes are easily skipped by pressing the A button after having played through the first time. By modifying the single player mode to suit multiple players, I can accomodate more than 4 players into the game without having to fork out for extra wiimotes. Anything can be done with my format, be it a clean and fun game with the loser doing a silly dare or make it a reason for friends to down a couple of shots. There is no boring waiting around for 3 other players to run around the board completing their turns and buying sweets as with Mario Party 8 (though I have to admit that I enjoy that game as well, albeit a more subdued one that requires patience at times). While one would have to wait their turn to play this game, they get to laugh at the silly actions and faces their fiends are having and shout out comments and pointers to help complete the level.

All in all, this game gives a lot, with games that require a quick pace and thinking but also a slower theme with the ping pong up the chimney and the block balancing games. Fast or slow, solo or group, its up to you.

Love it!4
This is the reason you buy a Wii (and Wii sports of course). Some of the games are so zany you just think 'what the ?!?!'. It is very funny and entertaining and has you jumping around the room doing the different 'forms' with your remote. Really good to play with friends but you can also have a laugh on your own trying to unlock everything. Kids might find some of the games a bit tricky (hell I found some of the games tricky!) but on the whole its pretty straight forward. It tells you how to hold the remote and you just go for it!. Highly recommended!.

This is one the best games that I own for the Wii so far. Before I bought it I wasn't so sure on the quick element to it, but that is what provides the most fun! Its best played with more than one person in my opinion but it is alright as a one player game as well. So get a few friends round and enjoy!
