Customer Reviews

Cricket captain is awesome5
Frankly this game is awesome. After 1 hours worth of playing you are hooked, once you start you cant stop. After you have dominated the seasons against the computer (which isn't easy!) you can take your game online! In short this is the best game for any cricket fans out there!!!!I've had it since it came out and have never stopped playing!!

LEGENDARY5
i also am an avid cricket fana and have to say this is a must buy, i admith there is no chance of it beinng football manager. Cricket Coach tried this and failed. I think that cricket captain is perfect BUT there are things that would help it
- Youth and school. i.e maybe a league with eton, harrow, uppingham, and then some universities the best of them. This could be a first team level BUT mean the game is stacked with 15/16/17 year olds.
- The youth and transafer is fun and this game is an addictive must buy

More of the same, plenty of room for improvement3
I have played and got every international cricket captain game, 1, 2, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005 and this one and i love them all but yes i agree with the other reviews, the manufaturers need to put more into it. Cricket is my main sport but i do like football manager games and even champ man of 4 or 5 years ago has more features. Here's a list of things for the next game to have to make it a real contender as best sports management game.

- more youth players coming up at the contracts page
- u-17, u-19 and u-21 competitions as well...bascially MORE YOUTH WORK!!! they are the future of your team
- the ability to look out for specific players you want and catch them at an early age (e.g you want an allround legspinner who is adept in both areas, have the option to scout very young players and put them into youth development schemes)
- the option to build structures that will benefit your team (what would football manager games be like without the option to build training centres, update them, merchandise shops and of course YOUTH TRAINING facilities)
- better fielding options
- the ability to change players roles (e.g jamie dalrymple is a batsman in the games, but everyone knows him as an allrounder!) and for allrounders put training for their batting and bowling not just one area

I have no complaints about the graphics because you are just watching highlights, not playing the whole thing so graphics are fine.
Those of you saying the computer cheats...well you must be really poor at the game because ive won loads of competitions, even without the best team, you've got to learn how to play properly and selecting the right players in the right positions is a big factor.
Apart from that, it is more of the same really, so i understand why some people are getting frustrated with the only recent updates being player profiles and specific cups. It Really can be a fantastic management game if it wanted to be...
