"A very lovely album... An original release with a real personality."

"Maple Bee's voice wanders from baby doll to sultry siren to ecstatic balladeer - polished and perfectly presented."

Album Description
New project from Maple Bee who’s successful ‘Chasing Eva’ won high acclaim from all press quarters, including a glowing review in Q magazine and online music site Morpheus, where Chasing Eva won best album and best album design of the year. Maple Bee has built up a huge fan base through her solo work and also with her work with Queen Adreena ( as bassist and co-writer of the last single ‘Medicine Jar’ ) and currently with the Mediaeval Baebes, whose brand new single she penned. Huski sees Maple fuse her numerous talents as a musician and singer-songwriter with electronica whiz kid Pyke Galloway to produce a dark electro pop album that will give the likes of Goldfrapp a run for their money.

Maple's made it5
It's definitely electronic but the voice is so beautiful and you can listen to this album again and again. I've had it on repeat for a week now and it's just so good. The music is cool and laid back but lively, the voice is sublime. There's not a track I don't like and I really recommend this disk.

Brilliant New Album!!!5
A new string to the ever talented Maple Bee (previously Melanie Garside). If your expecting guitar/vocals as on "Chasing Eva" get ready for an excellent surprise. Electro pop is here!
Excellent production from Pike, the other half of Huski gives us 10 excellent tracks. Buy this NOW and make it the hit it deserves to be.

Super, Gorgeous & Delovely!!!!5
This is such a wonderful album. At first it's all a bit cheeky in the fact that if you didn't know who was playing you would swear it was the next Goldfrapp album in disguise. But Ms Bee & Co have successfully managed to outfrapp the Goldfrapp and come up with a collection of tunes that have had my replay button on permanent since I first got it. Alison must be shaking in her thigh high glitter boots! It's oh so obvious where Huski must have got some of their inspiration from but in this case plagiarism ain't such a bad thing. While Maple Bee's voice is really quite monochord and hardly stretched, all the tracks being arranged in the same key (obviously enabling her to sing them), it really doesn't matter.

The highlight for me being "Planet Urtica" coming on like The Rah Band on speed...remember "Messages in the stars" anyone? It's got it's disco boots planted firmly on the runway on off up to the next "super flight" to the stars. Pam Anne will definitely be using this one in her next show, maybe even starring in the video to this trip around the galaxy. Fantastic! Surely planned for a single release and remixes will hopefully abound no doubt.

This album is packed with catchy tunes though. From the very frappy opening of "Undertow" gently washing over you in a very "Felt Mountain" kinda way it then goes head on in to the next best highlight "Make Me Your Picture", a sleazy, 80's synth led stomper with No 1 written all over it. "You Will Be Adored" is another beautifully lush, sing along summery song. "Easy Life" comes on like an eerie, lazy Blondie. Debbie Harry could be on the mic here quite comfortably and again head for that No 1 spot. "There She Goes" eats it's haunting vocals and swaying tunes in to your brain and it's the one that will be playing in your head as you go to sleep. "Precious" gently finishing the whole thing off, tucking you up in bed with your teddy and making you gag for more. Truly addictive stuff!!

I'm hoping that Huski can pull the whole thing off live too because with this stunning debut album we have a real fresh, feel good sounding mega band on British territory once again. Influences abound but if this album doesn't produce at least two top ten tunes with the right promotion and remixes I'll eat my own glittery disco balls!!!
