At last I can use my iPod Video for Video5
I bought the iRec from elsewhere but only because Amazon had not got stock at the time.

I have to say I am impressed. Connected it to my Telewest Box and pressed record. I now have all the programs I never get chance to watch with full stereo sound. The car and train journeys are now a lot more fun.

I also recorded some stuff off DVD but it won't work if you have DVD's with copy protection.

Best product for the iPod I have seen. Good Quality recording and also lets you record in widescreen.

If you have an iPod Video you will love this. I never use my video anymore!!

Compatibility Problems with New iPod Classics1
The product looks great and is very attractively packaged, but unfortunately it did not work with my new iPod Classic 80GB. When I put it into the dock the lights would flash and then it would eject the iPod. This would continue over and over again, until I physically removed the iPod. I phoned customer support who were very honest and helpful. They admitted there were compatibility problems with the new iPod Classics. They asked me to wait a week for a firmware upgrade, but they didn't seem too convincing about it being resolved, and I have reluctantly decided to return the product to Amazon for a refund.

    just the thing5
the irec is very simple , reliable and stress free way of getting videos on to an ipod . i didnt use the video function on my ipod because it was far too much hassel, but now all i have to do is shove my ipod on the irec and press record , its that easy . i havnt really seen anything that does the same thing so i would reccomend this.
