Average customer review:Product Description
In 2006, punk-pop's premier cover band, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, wrangled up lively renditions of their favorite country tunes. On this 12-track collection, the lighthearted supergroup (which includes members of NOFX, Foo Fighters, andLagwagon) runs through a well-chosen and revved-up set thatfeatures tunes by artists ranging from Hank Williams ( "I'mSo Lonesome I Could Cry") to the Dixie Chicks (the murderous "Goodbye Earl"). Good fun for cowboys and cowgirls wearingall variety of boots--combat, cowboy, or otherwise.

Love Their Country
They turn boring songs into fun renditions and your favourite songs you will fall in love with all over again.

A grower and a keeper
When I first heard this album I thought that it was quite weak compared to previous Gimme releases. However, after a few more listens it really grew on me and is now probably my favourite Gimme album.
Although a lot of the songs aren't instantly recognizable each one becomes more catchy with every listen. This album is definitely worthy of your collection. Highlights include Goodbye Earl, Jolene and Much Too Young.
i love love their country
don't listen to the other review, this is a great album. it's true that i hadn't heard many of the original versions of these tracks but i don't think that that takes anything awy from this CD.
highlights include "googbye earl" originally by the dixie chicks and the theme tune from smokey and the bandit
