Good quality, but does not resemble character.2
Good quality, but does not resemble character, which was the reason for buying it in the first place, otherwise I would have just bought another barbie!

A beautiful display doll4
I loved the look of this doll from the picture, and when it arrived, lovingly wrapped and in perfect condition, I felt like a kid at christmas!! :) The doll was ment for display, but was put through some customization re: hair and pose, to fit in with some others. This is definitely NOT an extremly suitable toy for a child, the gold particles on the embroidery fall off at the slightest movement. Also be careful to change her pose too much, the arms are not as stable in their sockets as they may appear to be.
Anyway, it's hard to be negative about this doll. It is a very beautiful, and much more "real" looking doll than the usual Barbie style (head to body ratio is much better, hand size is better, facial features are realistic - the only thing in fact are the supertiny feet that cannot even fit Barbie slippers! They are at least 1/3 too small, and considering how wrong the feet ratio is on Barbies... *shudder*). From this point I think the doll definitely has educational value, as it doesn't reflect as many of the misogynistic images our culture is sated with. Mattel et al could learn a lot from these moviestar dolls!!
