Customer Reviews
I have to say that I quite enjoyed it!
Having read some poor reviews of this game, I smiled a forced smile when I received it as a present; and I really wasn't expecting much. However, I have to say that I really enjoyed playing it. Admittedly it is quite a short game; especially when you consider that my last two games were 'Oblivion' and 'Perfect Dark Zero', but it has some nice touches and a couple of challenging battles.
On the down side, I didn't like some of the camera angles, which meant that you sometimes couldn't see what was ahead of you; and I didn't like the way that some of the battles seemed to end prematurely. On the plus side I had fun playing it.
worst game ever.
just had to write a review of this after buying it solely to blitz it for 1000 gamer points, ive only managed a few hundred and have given up, not because its hard, but because its unbearable, it wins the award for the worst collision detection i have ever encountered in a game. honestly, often your sword goes straight through an enemy without doing any damage, like its a hologram or something!, and 90% of the environment is off limits to the gamer, by means of invisible walls everywhere, awful.
Review of the Demo
I first found out about Eragon through a gaming magazine, I then decided to read the book...which was amazing! Okay so now I'm a big fan of the books but that doesn't mean that I'm going to love the film or game. I was actually dreading the unexpected adaptations of the book.
Anyways last night I downloaded the demo off XboxLive Marketplace and was pleasantly surprised. The first thing that i noticed was that the graphics are...let's say 'interesting'. Some parts looked very real and some parts looked like a cartoon.
The thing that worried me the most about the game was that the gameplay would be terrible but again it wasn't too bad. Neither was the controls. You can access magic, bow & arrows and your sword with only 3 buttons...which was excellent for the lenghty battles.
The game wasn't too fun, which was dissapointing but perhaps after watching the film it will excite people more...i guess that's the point in these licensed games.
Yea so basically I just wanted to say that the game is looking promising...but then again I am a big Eragon fan....
