Manufacturer's Description
Microsoft Visio 2007 makes it easy for IT and business professionals to visualize, explore, and communicate complex information. Go from complicated text and tables that are hard to understand to Visio diagrams that communicate information at a glance. Instead of static pictures, create data-connected Visio diagrams that display data, are easy to refresh, and dramatically increase your productivity. Use the wide variety of diagrams in Visio 2007 to understand, act on, and share information about organizational systems, resources, and processes throughout your enterprise.

Visio 2007 is available in two stand-alone editions: Visio Professional and Visio Standard. Visio Standard 2007 has the same basic functionality as Visio Professional 2007 and includes a subset of its features and templates. Visio Professional 2007 offers advanced functionality, such as data connectivity and visualization features, that Visio Standard 2007 does not.

Customer Reviews

Gone downhill since Micro$oft bought it!3
Earlier versions of Visio were relatively cheap and easy to use and this programme was (and is) very useful for creating diagrams including semi-technical diagrams, as well as very good flow charts.

The good points are:

* The interface is old style i.e. NOT Office 2007 (how much longer?)
* It still creates great charts
* It's still easy to use

The bad points:
* Too many Microsoft inspired useless "themes" in dire colours
* Too many useless options
* Slower to use than previous versions due to "feature rich enhancements"
* Bloated programme size
* Microsoft licensing!

Summary:
* Still very good for creating diagrams
* Gradually being ruined by Microsoft
* Bloated programme size

There are alternatives which are cheaper e.g. SmartDraw
