Customer Reviews
Sometimes it's hip to be square
This is almost the opposite of mutton dressed as lamb. Lional Richie is a good, mature singer of songs with good melodies. However, much of this album is spoilt by "modern" trappings. It's a shame, hence only 4 stars instead of 5.
Get's Better With Age
Wow, this is a superb buy. I heard his single release and fell head over heels for it, waited anxiously for the release of the album, I wasn't disappointed. I grew up with my family listening to the likes of the Commodores, Diana Ross etc., or should I say The Legends. As usual Mr Richie takes you places in love that other ballads can't reach. Congratulations Mr Richie, you haven't lost your touch, he is truely a legend and this album proves it - some things do get better with age.
should have stayed where he was
Lionel richie, the first word that springs to mind is legend. After titles such as Hello, Three times a lady and many more i was really looking forward to playing this album. Having now played it i wish hadn't bothered. The songs leave no mark at all and they have a certain 'cheese' factor about them. Not one song really stands out, a real dissapointment. Don't buy the album it ruins your perception of the legend he was and should be. Sorry Lionel but its for the lack of a better word 'pants'!
