It does a job
This item can be very handy although be careful what you want to use it for. If you have several smaller peripherals you wish to plug in then it is just the job however if the usb slots are slightly larger than a standard mouse usb e.g. usb pen drives then the slots are way to close together to allow you to use all 7 slots.

Does the job ok but not brilliant
Not had any compatability problems (XP Pro & XP Home).

Good points:
* Seven ports
* Works without the power supply for low power applications e.g. pen drives
* Good data transfer rate (USB 2)
* Small so handy for travellers

Bad points:
* Slots are a bit close together - can restrict number of connections
* Another one of those separate power supplies!

Sum-up:
Not perfect but does a reasonable job. Very handy if, like me you have several memory sticks and you want to plug a keyboard & mouse in to it. Sits nicely under my desktop monitor.

TRUST 7 PORT USB2 POWERED HUB
I bought this 7-port USB 2.0 hub to replace a number of old hubs that were creating a tangle of wires and mess behind my PC. Whilst the ports are close together and really more suitable for standard size USB plug (A-type plug) it does make the overall design very compact and neat. With up to 480 Mbps data transfer speed it makes it 40 times faster than my old USB 1.1.

I am now able to attach up to 7 high-speed USB peripherals such as external hard drive, PC cam, mobile phone lead, printer etc to one USB 2.0 port and everything works superbly and so much neater than before behind my PC.

I think the price is excellent too and having searched around, Amazon is the cheapest on price I could find when I purchased this.
