Doo Wop Heaven!
In 1977 fro my 12th christmas, mum and dad bought me my first stereo, an alba cassette radio. They also bought me my first album - The Amazing darts, on cassette. needless to say it got played to death, and became a firm favourite. Years later, with a collection of cassettes, vinyl and CD albums in the thousands, it is still a favourite album. but alas, the tape finally bit the dust and I was left with nothing. Then came the darts CD 'the platinum collection'. Fantastic to finally be able to hear darts again, but unfortunately the compilation contained only half of the 20 tracks I wanted.

Now, at last, with the release of this double CD, I finally have all the tracks I loved so much, plus a whole heap of extra material to listen too. Pure heaven. Darts have to be one of the very best bands of any era. Tremendous fun to listen to, but musically brilliant too. With classic and self penned tracks of pure doo wop, rock & roll, & boogie woogie. Superb musicianship, tight harmonies, and above all a sense that they really loved doing what they did. I wish today's pop music had half the sense of enjoyment and less of it's own sense of self importance. If you can listen to this without tapping your toes or singing along, you must have been lobotomised! Buy this, you will not be disappointed.

Under-sold
Delighted to purchase / listen to Double Top, but... Having listened so many times to original LPs I quickly realised that it mis-represents itself by claiming to be the first two albums + bonus tracks. Firstly, the bonus tracks include all 14 from the excellent 3rd album; secondly, the single versions of Come Back My Love and It's Raining are featured rather than album versions. So, the only album that appears in full, albeit not in order, is the only one not advertised as doing so. Why?

DARTS ARE DOUBLE TOP
I've been a fan of the band since the start and have most of their stuff.

This album is a welcome re-issue as it gives fans new and old a chance to relive those memories.

I'm sure you'll all be glad to hear that the Darts have reformed for a 30th anniversary reunion and are performing at the 100 Club in London on November 9th so get your tickets fast for what is guaranteed to be a great night. see www.amazingdarts.com for other dates
