Customer Reviews

Soul Togetherness 20065
I Have the whole collection of Soul Togetherness and i have to say i consider this to be one of the best. It bring music up to date and also some great tunes by the usual artists such as Aretha. I totally recommend this Cd for anyone wanting to be kept up to date with music with out feeling like an anorak. Don't like to brand tracks with genres however this one is soulful, Funky and ever so slightly house in parts.
Featured in a big way at the last Caister Soul Weekender.

Weakest in the series4
Owning all the previous releases in the "Togetherness" series, I entered into the yearly ritual and purchaseed the latest installment. Maybe I've been spoilt by the earlier releases but I've got to say that this collection is quite a way below the mark of the others. For the most part, it is a selection of contemporary dancers, flavoured with American garage and supplemented with some token rarities (it seems that control over track selection has shifted?). The track that stands out by far is Aura Jackson's "Walkafteru", a sublime recording, containing all the right ingredients and just possibly, the track of 2006 (the CD is worth buying for this alone).
