Editorial Reviews

Manufacturer's Description:
Super Fruitfall is a true puzzle game that is simple in concept but with enormous depth as the challenge increases. Super Fruitfall is very easy to grasp with simple controls but will keep players coming back for more, eager to improve their performance. The objective is to make the fruit disappear by moving them around the grid until they are grouped together - fruit must be either above or to the left or right of another fruit, diagonals do not count. The fruit can be moved by rotating the play area and allowing the fruit to fall thereby creating groups of three or more of the same fruit, which will then be removed, a bonus is awarded if more than one group disappears on one turn.

Customer Reviews

Frustrating but strangely appealing4
The game is very simple, the only goal is to get onto the next level which is the same game but just harder. Despite its simplicity it is very engaging, some of the levels are so frustrating that you actually can't stop playing as you become so determined to complete it! With the simple game controls it's a real "put it on and play" game that you can just start having fun with straight away.

A good puzzle - but nothing new.3
All the best puzzles have a simple concept - and this meets that criteria.

The only problem is that I've played this before so many times and this version for the Wii doesn't offer anything new. The scope was there too - the controls to turn the `arena' could have been done by turning the Wii-stick rather than using the left/right buttons. But even then you'd feel you were playing a game for the Wii which is more naturally suited to another format; a mobile phone, or a handheld console.

I can't slate the game though - at it's core it is still a solid puzzle game which will challenge the player. I'll be returning to it and hoping to better my score. It might not have the flashiest graphics, or groundbreaking audio - but it is fun. It's not as addictive as some other puzzle games, but it will still have you coming back to see how far you can get.

What a waste.1
I bought this game, took off the wrapping so i can't even return it. The game is an exact copy of a standard shareware game for the pc. It makes poor use of the nintendo wii comtrol system. The game has 3 modes which are all basically indentical.
Don't buy it, download something simlar from shockwave.com and play the free trial and be done with it.
