WOW!!
Just get this. You will not be sorry. My 6 year old now sings in German and Till is his hero. Wish I was in the front row!!
volkerball
the dvd is pure brilliance, Rammstein...clearly one of the best if not the best bands to of ever come out of Europe. Music, picture quality and sound are superb but if I had to have one critical point is that when I switched it onto the subtitles tere were only a few subtitles that come up in the whole of the interview (which was nearly an hour) so it would really help if you can speak/understand German just to understand that. Other than that pure brilliance...they just keep getting better and better.
Rammstein Rock! BANG! BANG!
I've been a Rammstein fan for a few years now but I can't remember how I first heard of them. I bought Reise Reise when it was released and now have all their albums. Of everything I've seen/heard, Volkerball sits atop the pile in gleaming majesty. The main feature concert in Les Arene de Nimes in France is a simply awesome show. The band seem to live to play live and their costumes, make up, stage set and original pyrotechnics all go to confirm them as one of the best live shows you can see.
What I like best about Volkerball is 1) you get the live DVD and a CD album of the show -- great value, 2) The collection of songs in the Nimes set serves as a Rammstein Greatest Hits, taken from all their albums so it's a brilliant first buy for the Rammstein newbie, but mostly 3) a live concert is only as good as the audience, and the overriding memory I have of this DVD is the audience. They all seem to be die-hard fans and have a rocking good time from beginning to end (watch out for the dark-haired girl on the front row though. She's the exception to the rule and I have no idea why she went as she is clearly not having a good time!)
I have watched this DVD about fifty times and I'm still not bored of it. If you like to rock, buy it now!
