The best American Idol winner
Reality show winner or not, Fantasia Barrino is the real thing. Years of gospel singing and a none too easy life have made a voice that is strong and gritty yet beautifully touching. Her first album was the usual AI winner album, overproduced and led by music industry thinking on how she should be presented to the public. I think Fantasia knows how she should be presented to the public, unadorned and unleashed. Whilst the second album doesn't always allow her the room to lay down her own unique vocal territory, it is one step closer to the full development of a very exciting singer. She's not as successful as Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood, but I bet that she will be around after their rather ordinary pop and country careers begin to fade. Fantasia hasn't yet shown us on disc just how good she can be, but she will.
Fantastic Album
This is a great album from Fantasia - her delivery of each and every track just reaches out and grabs your attention. Hood Boy is GREAT - and watching her deliver it live on Jay Leno's show was awesome (thanks to youtube.com. Even the ballads are super - When I see You and I feel beautiful being standouts. Then there's Baby making hips and Not the way that I do - trust me, you are SURE to move.
In short, get the album - you won't be disappointed.
Disappointment
I love fantasia but the level of this CD is really low compare to the 1st one l bought expecting to play it a lot on my way to and frm work but l found myself REW AND FF most of the tracks so l was kind of disappointd but everyone with there own taste in music what buzzz my ears might be wat u will use on ur wedding day ur choice u decide
