Not as good as older games
I had a dance mat back in the days of PSOnes and the games back then were SO much more user friendly than this!

For starters it does not tell you the speed of the songs, so you don't know what you're letting yourself in for when you select a song. Also there aren't that many songs to choose from compared to other games.

Little thought has been given to the display of the game. Instead of a more traditional display where the arrows go from bottom to top, the arrows on Dance Fest come out of the middle towards an outer circle. I find this makes it harder to work out the order of the forthcoming arrows and I often only see one of the arrows on double moves. It doesn't fill that much of the screen either, so I dread to think how small it would appear on 2 player! Furthermore the background has flashing lights which get in the way of the arrows so you can't see them, or whether you've hit them.

Unless you're a big fan of Steps, Shakin Stevens, Sugababes or Pussycat Dolls (which all appear on Dance Fest), I wouldn't recommend this game as there are better ones out there that have been around for longer.
