God Damn Good!
I wasnt too sure what to expect when I first played this but, anything Ginger is connected with is virtually 100% certain to be great so I wasnt expecting to be disappointed. I wasnt. It took 2 listens for me to realise that this is one special album. It has got a whole sound and feel of its own that is hard to put into words but most definitely ROCKS, every song is crammed with awesome melodies and great lyrics and the whole thing feels really inventive and shows Jon Poole to be one very very talented man. Its albums like this that should be topping charts - dont think, JUST BUY IT!!

Best debut ever??
I have to say, this is one of the greatest debut albums i have ever heard.
Jon poole (wildhearts/silver ginger 5/cardiacs) has made an album of pure listening pleasure, with tracks such as 'we're in the army baby', 'we're the new gods' and the title track being instant classics.
If you are a fan of the Wildhearts and/or the Cardiacs then you are going to love this album. And even if you arent a fan of the afermentioned, that shoudn't stop you from buying this.
Highly recommended to anyone that likes real music with heart and soul put into it.
