Superman Returns
Lets face it, without the nostalgia factor the original Superman quadrilogy was lame. The two Donner entries were enjoyable, but thoroughly vacuous, while the third and fourth entries were embarrassing. Enter Superman Returns, then, a far more intelligent and plot-driven film than its predecessors. It does have action sequences, which are all pleasingly short, and you will actually believe this time around that a man can fly. But you'll find yourself wishing they'd hurry up and get back to the story. The film received some criticism for being too long when it was released. But nobody cares about that, because it keeps your interest. Can't wait for 2009 and "Untitled Superman Returns Sequel."
