It's a Spare Battery - What Else?
Well, when you're buying from the camera makers, you know you're buying quality. This battery comes in a little plastic protector which is great as I know which battery is charged!

I'd recommend this over any other make as you don't want to ruin your DSLR with a less-expensive version of the same battery. Pay out for the best - it'll make you feel better!

Can't Beat Original Parts
A back up battery is one of the ABC's of photography, especially in the digital age.
It's not worth taking chances with non-original batteries.

Worth the extra cost
Bought as a spare for long trips; I have not managed to actually run one of these flat in one day yet even using Nikon VR AF zoom lenses and taking 400+ shots. Charges quickly even in 110v countries (under 2 hours)and holds a full charge for long periods. Best to stick with the genuine Nikon brand for this reason, I feel it justifies the extra cost.
