Oblivion is the latest chapter in the epic and highly successful Elder Scrolls saga and utilizes next-generation video game hardware to fully immerse you into the experience. With a powerful combination of freeform gameplay and unprecedented graphics, you can unravel the main quest at your own pace or explore the vast world and find your own challenges.
Introduction
The goal here was to create a game that offered unlimited possibilities. A game where you could be whoever you wanted and do whatever you wanted. "Live another life, in another world" was the Oblivion team's motto; this is exactly what they have created. If you love games that allow you to explore, wander amongst the beauty of the landscape and engage in combat with weapons or magic then this is truly the game for you. With lots of industry awards won and huge critical acclaim achieved, role playing adventure games don't get any better than this!
Storyline
You live within the stunning capital province of Tamriel, called Cyrodiil. As a brave and noble warrior you set on a dangerous adventure, to find the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor in place and no guidance for the people of Cyrodiil, the gates of Oblivion open, bringing only death and destruction upon the humble towns and villages.
It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel. Turn the tide of darkness before it's too late.
New on PS3
All the updated patches and downloads for Xbox360 and PC are available in the PS3 version. More excitingly, The Nights of The Nine faction has been added and integrated into the storyline here so you won't need to buy it as an `add-on' package. Also, blending and shading effects are much more seamless on PS3 so the game looks even more stunning than ever before.

THE WORLDS GREATEST GAME-THE TRUTH!!!!!!!
this is the best game ever made ful stop. the world is absoulutely massive. there is a minimum of 100hours gameplay. the combat is amazing and the towns and detail are oustanding. i have played many games in my life, including GTA IV and i still think this is truly the best game ever made.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
When I first heard about this game I was spectical. I read reviews saying it was 'like an entire world', i thought how could a computer game do that. Belive me this game does that and much more. before I bought it I watched a couple of video reviews on youtube, I wasn't thst excited and I thought the camera angle looked awful. After buying the game the minute I started playing I was hooked, I have had it for a Fortnight now and I no its the best £20 i have ever spent. It makes you feel like your the game. You choose what you want to do. You can be a powerful wizard, mighty warrior or a petty thieve. There are so many side missions in the game you feel like there is no story, you complete the game at the pace you want, I hjave never played a game that gives you so many options. Youcan go and complete the main quest which takes about 40 hours, all the side quests take about 60 hours. i have had the game for 2 weeks and havn't even started the main story line. This really is the best RPG ever made, probaly the best game. Hope this review has helped.
Hmm...
Being one of the first games out for the PS3... I got it. I never was really a fan of big RPG like Oblivion, but I did love all the GTA's. Oblivion puts you in the eyes of a character who in typical fashion has to sav everybody from an evil force from another world - Oblivion. The visal effects, graphics, gameplay... they are all amazing. The world is massive, and can be a pain to get from one place to the other if you dont use Fast-Travel. However, as other people have reviewed... I agree its not what they say it is in magazines and other independent reviews. The game is very repetitive because ovbiously they cant get thousands of actors for all the characters, and you find that certain voices repeat themselves. I would strongly reccomend getting a loan of this game for atleast 2 months, because after a month you start to find the game boring.
