Customer Reviews
Depends!
To everyone who says this product is bad it depends where you are in the UK. The aerial needs to be twisted and retuned to find the optimum signal strength, I managed to get all Freeview TV and radio channels with no patchy image. Turn amplification up to full and PLACE THE AERIAL HIGH UP AND AS FAR AWAY FROM THINGS THAT CAN INTERFERE SUCH AS TVs(I know unavoidable but try) AND COMPUTERS.
For my area and my configuration I rate this product 5* because I have all Freeview channels with perfect quality. My only gripe is that the coaxial lead is not long enough and is for some reason shorter than the power lead.
Buy if you are not in a mountainous area and are in a city/town
Good and bad really
I'm a bit undecided on this item. The first time I plugged it in the freeview box received no channels at all. However I tried a different place for the aerial and got about 70 channels, all pretty much great quality.
Then it rained and back to needing to fiddle with the aerial millimetre by millimetre to get a channel to work.
It doesn't like mobile phones, walls or metal.
When it works it works great - and I can quite happily watch freeview in perfect digital . But is is temperamental and the actual co-ax cable is far too short which minimises your chances of getting a great position for it.
It is much cheaper than an outdoor aerial and you can take it with you on holiday or even just to another room - but will never be a good enough substitute for a real aerial.
Great
Contrary to the other reviews here, I have found this aerial to be very effective and it has picked up freeview perfectly in a room where I struggled to get a good terrestrial recpetion! Very impressed with this aerial and would definately recommend it!
