'A Tale Of Two Cities' is the debut album from Oxford-educated UK hip-hop producer Mr. Hudson and his band, The Library. A curious mixture of hip-hop, grime and traditional jazz, Hudson and his band blend these disparate elements into a pleasing whole, bringing to mind artists as diverse as Sway, The Police and Chet Baker. Includes the single 'Too Late Too Late'.

Soooooo Good!
This is such an amazing album! The first I heard of them was the 'Too Late, Too Late' video which I loved as it was a great change from the hum-drum. Also I'll admit I was very enamoured with Mr. H and his Panama, what can I say! The songs are all 1st rate and they flow into each other very nicely. The album makes for great listening and is one of the few that you can listen to without having to press the skip button, which is so rare these days.
Fave tracks:
On The Street Where You Live - great opener
Too Late, Too Late - cool mid-tempo dancey song
2 x 2 - reminds you of lovely nights with that special person
Everything Happens To Me - nice when you want to wallow in self pity and also, just so funny!
Upon The Heath - great tune, always takes me away...
AMAZING
What a brilliant album - as many others have said, it is hard to find fault with any of the tracks. Again Jools Holland has found himself another great band! They are especially great live - here's hoping they are around on the festival circuit again this year. (if i had to have one complaint it would be that Mr hudson and his crew have been overlooked by a LOT of people)
Brilliant
I've just seem them live at the Koko in London and they were great. I bought the album ages ago and love every track. The biggest crowd pleaser was 'ask the dj', other favourites are 'bread and roses' and 'too late too late.' The music includes ska, reggae and pop, every song is different. I would recomment this to anyone who likes fresh, non-mainstream and talent.
