CD Description
'Headstrong' is the debut album from teen singing sensationAshley Tisdale. Produced by a plethora of hip producers including J.R. Rotem, this is a sassy mixture of pop and R'n'B that sounds as young and exciting as Tisdale herself. Includes the tracks 'Be Good To Me', 'He Said She Said' and 'Not Like That'.

A Headstrong album5
Intro- A cool mini medley of the album's tracks

So much for you- A cool and funky electro beat that'll have you dancing straight away.

He said she said- Purely Hip-hop, Ashley has a go at showing off her rapping skills in this really cool song.

Be good to me- The leading single with a slow and almost sultry R&B song.
Features rapper David Jassy.

Not like that- One of the best tracks on the album. An indian theme with a great R&B/Dance chorus.

unlove you- Probably the weakest song on the album, it's still a good song and a good cover of Sarah Hudson's version but during the chorus Ashley's voice sounds a bit worn out.

positivity- A great dance song. Thats all I can say.

love me for me- A great ballad written by Queen of the ballad Diane Warren, so you will not be disappointed.

goin' crazy- A great cover of Sandy Molling's 'All eyes on you'. The intro beat has an almost Britney feel. The entire song has a great electro pop vibe.

over it- My favourite track on the album. The beginning of the song has Ashley talking on a phone so the voice is a little distorted but when we reach the chorus, the funky dance beat will have up dancing from the forst word.

don't touch (the zoom song)- Another amazing cover, this time from thai singer Tata Young's 'Zoom', a great pop/dance song with cool and electro beats and vibes.

we'll be together- A great electronic ballad.

Headstrong- A great mix of R&B and hip hop in the title song. Mezmerising R&B verses with a funky and almost sing-a-long chorus.

suddenly- Ashley shows off her ballad writing skills, and it is not a let down, a deep and beautiful voice through out the song.

Overall, an amazing album, if your a fan of Urban music or Teen pop, and you haven't got this album, you haven't lived!

doin' her own thing!!!5
I bought this album on hearing "He Said She Said" & "Be Good To Me" which are fantastic tracks.
This album is so mature compared to what i thought she would do. And the fact that she isn't signed to hollywood records like all the other disney channel stars makes a difference. Giving her more creative flow & therefore being able to make the type of music suitable for her age which is 21.

Here is each track & what i think
1 "Intro" - a cool funky start to the album blending all the tracks into one. 10/10
2 "So Much For You" Cool Song. 9/10
3 "He Said She Said" - 1st single, album version has different more mature lyrics (great). 10/10
4 "Be Good To Me" one of my fav tracks. 10/10
5 "Not Lile That" has an indian feel to it. 10/10
6 "Unlove You" Least fav track - 6/10
7 "Positivity" Has a great beat & suits her voice. 10/10
8 "Love Me For Me" best ballad on the album 10/10
9 "Goin' Crazy" my favorite track. (amazing) 10/10
10 "Over It" funky wee track. 9/10
11 "Don't Touch" great remake of the tata young song 10/10
12 "We'll Be Together" good song 9/10
13 "Headstrong" title track is surprisingly good 10/10
14 "Suddenly" written by ashley & is pretty good 9/10

Catchy and fun!5
Ashley's debut album "HEADSTRONG" is catchy, infectious, young and fun! As she's a little older than most of her Disney co-stars, her music reflects this (for the most part) and makes this album suitable for teens.

There are two ballads which are well sung, and the rest are either techno-dance-pop or hip hop-pop mix, all of which terribly catchy. Ashley's a strong vocalist and a good singer, although sometimes it does seem a little like she's trying to sing like Britney Spears, etc.

If you like dance-pop and/or mild hip hop, listen to some samples and get this album!
