Product Description

  • Groundbreaking Visual Experience: The war zone in Tom Clancy`s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter comes to life as you navigate through trash-strewn streets and pick off enemies from behind bomb-scarred structures. The cutting-edge physics and particle systems will show you some of the most intense and realistic explosions, smoke, and environment destruction ever seen in a video game. Dynamic lighting and shadows will morph as real-time day/night cycles and a constantly changing weather system require you to adjust to the changing conditions on the fly.
  • All-New Battlegrounds: For the first time ever, the Ghosts will defend U.S. soil from a cross-border attack, taking the fight to all-new locations. The Ghosts will battle enemies in mountain terrains, barren deserts and even on their home turf in El Paso, Texas. Each environment presents its own benefits and challenges and will call for fresh tactical approaches.
Vastly Improved Artificial Intelligence (AI): Watch your back as rebels send their own team members to flank your position or gain vantage points by utilizing vertical gameplay to pick you off from the rooftops above. Improved squad-mate AI will now feed you more of the information you need with descriptive commands like "enemy spotted behind red truck ahead.
  • Improved Cross-Com: The revolutionary new Cross-Com 2.0 will give the player more information than ever before. You will be able to see what your friendly forces see in the top left display and the click of a button will expand that to full-screen view for a clearer and more precise picture. This will give you a more comprehensive view of the entire battlefield. The new Full Command View will allow unprecedented precision in developing and issuing tactical plans on the battlefield.
  • Expanded Support: Command lethal air strikes with jet fighters, gain mobile cover for otherwise impassable

Manufacturer's Description:
Following up the 2006 platinum Xbox360 seller Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW), Ubisoft brings the sequel GRAW2, with more of what fans loved about the original with 12 single player missions, 14 multiplayer maps, and a 6 mission coop campaign.

Following the failure of the coup d'état in Mexico City Mexican rebels have gathered their remaining forces along the US border. The Ghosts have less than 72 hours to stop a nuclear attack. Lead your team of elite Special Forces for the first time on US soil - straddling the border between Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. You are the last line of defense and must do what it takes to protect your country.

Special Xbox 360 Tom Clancy rewards:
As a reward for buying previous Tom Clancy titles on the Xbox 360, gamers can unlock some exclusive headgear for their characters in GRAW2. GRAW 2 searches the Xbox 360 hard drive and if it finds a saved game of Rainbow Six Vegas and/or Splinter Cell Double Agent, it will unlock the multiplayer headgear.

Customer Reviews

ghost recon is quality4
To be honest i got my x box at christmas for my lad who is 10. I thought i'd get some games for it myself due to the various first person shooters they had as a line up. Loved gears of war and was in need of another game to get me going. Was very disapointed with lost planet that was kinda dubbed as the next big title after 'gears'.

I am not disapointed with ghost recon 2 at all. Excellent graphics. Kinda takes a little time to get used to the controls as there is loads you can do. To be honest as well the massiv array of equipment you can employ in the game makes it that bit easier but it is fun.

Some great parts in the game.....i enjoyed the grave yard bit especially....just simpy the way it was designed and the graphics and music make it vet exciting i thought.

Im not one who wants to play games for months and months so ghost recon is excellent fo rme. I get bored very quickly. So its onto fear and prey next I think.

IN conclusion buy ghost recon it is a quality title that shows off the capabilities of the 360. YOu WILL enjoy it...promise!

more of the same..... which is no bad thing4
This is a very good game. Short, and not very challenging on the middle difficulty setting, but still very enjoyable. Graphically I think it's the best thing on the 360, including Gears of War. There are sections, particularly during the daytime levels, where the graphics look almost photo-realistic. There's some good level design too. I liked sweeping the built up areas, taking cover and sending the squad ahead, taking out the hostiles and then moving on. Of course, this is nothing new but its all done really well.

The game isn't without its faults though. Its 12 months since I played Ghost Recon 1, but after playing on Ghost Recon 2 I was amazed at how similar the games are. At first its like nothings changed. Even the menu and loading screens are exactly the same. The setting (Mexico) is the same, and even when you cross the border you don't really notice the difference. I also felt a bit restricted in weapon choice. Although there are plenty of guns, you're always forced to choose between a gun with an optic scope and an RPG type weapon. Unwilling to sacrifice the scope, I never used the RPG and I felt this was a bad design fault.

But there are improvements too. The graphics are awesome. The cross cam is now full screen, giving you better access to the actions of your squad and heavy support. You're still not controlling them, but it's a cool feature. And, importantly, I didn't come across any of those weird bugs from the first game (remember when your character would stand up with his arms out like Jesus on the cross at the most inconvenient times?).

In short, its more of the same, but better. I felt slightly conned initially due to the similarities with the first game, but I stuck with it and the differences and improvements became apparent. Its worth getting, but something more radical would be welcome for Ghost Recon 3.

p.s. note for R. Turner - if the 360 is so lame compared to your PC, stop playing 360 games. Why on earth would you play Ghost Recon 2 on the 360 if you already knew it was so much better on the PC? Are you thick or what? And if you haven't played it on both formats, shut up.

Oh yes.....5
Look, if you like shooters, like tactics, like multiplayer, then buy this.

The Graphics are superb (I run HD 1080i) the sounds are atmospheric, the storyline cheesy but hey! we're future soldiers right?

The multiplayer can get a little tedious NOT because of the gameplay but because it's sometimes the case that you'll get booted from a game because the host's server can't handle the number of players, but in spite of this it's the first game I've EVER kept playing long after I finished. To be sure I haven't got ALL the achievments yet but realistically the few I lack, I'm unlikely to get.

As a team/ co op game it's absolutely first class, as a solo multiplayer it's absolutely first class

Look it's fabulous, stop reading this and go get it, you'll be glad you did!
