    good bit of kit4
Bought for my 12 year old after we had tried an FM transmitter for IPOD that drained battery in 15 minutes.
    This machine is good.
It looks quite smart, not too big or small, quite weighty, not flimsy.
Small LED display for volume or FM frequency.
    Keeps the Ipod charged.
I think its got an alarm clock function, but we havent got around to that.
Remote control is a simple but effective device and intuitive.
Sound quality is very good at moderate levels. would not stand as a "blast the doors off" type hi-fi, and for this reason i recommend it as suitable for bedrooms and the like where you really dont want your kids with too many watts at their finger tips.
    At the price...good kit.

    a nice buy, but...4
these speakers are very good, the sound, it's asthetics and everything.
but personally i returned these as i thought i could get a better buy.
and i was right, for the exact amount of money i found the mm50 speakers created by logitech. they are simply amazing. although it does not have radio, the speakers are rechargable, also has a remote and it is more compact making it easier to take around places with you as it comes with a case. so before you decide on buying these speakers (not that they're bad) have a look at the "mm50"

    Fuzzy sound quality2
Having bought this on the basis of reviews saying that it was comparable to a Bose (!), I am very disappointed in the quality of sound. It is a bit tinny and the base distorts. It is not bad as a set of portable speakers, but it is not sufficiently good to replace my old but very good quality hifi. Remote needs a lot of pressing to make it work as well - very frustrating as it is easier to just get up and go over to the thing to make your changes...
However, on the plus side for those of you who do want it for portability rather than as a replacement hifi, it is easy to set up and stylish.
