Customer Reviews

Numptie previous review5
Many people will recommend a source of music as "you won't here anything like it", but in the case of the Ozrics, it is undoubtedly true. There is NO OTHER SOUND LIKE IT. And the best thing is, there's more than 20 albums to enjoy, each offering endless aural amazement, fantastic musicianship, and multilayered soundscapes. The reviewer who compared these to the Levellers is way off. Don't get me wrong, some will just not get it (my wife for example) but if you've got any musical appreciation worthy of note, you'll find this a priceless addition to your life.

The best way into this bizarre &brilliant prog hippie band5
You wont hear this band on the radio, on MTV, in any music magazine, or any such top line source, but that's probably because their publicity has arisen from a series of low key but cult festival appearances. Let me tell you - they are awesome, and have a really, genuinely unique rock guitarist who isn't afraid to draw upon eastern and jazz patterns on which to base his creative noodlings, and they dispense with vocals to create a really atmospheric, complete orchestration of special sound.
If nothing else, the song titles are worth the purchase alone - Jurassic Shift, Myriapod, Wob Glass - brilliant!

A Worthy Introduction to the Ozrics5
I'd enjoyed the Ozrics playing live but never chanced an album.
Not knowing quite where to start I spotted this and decided to take the plunge.
I instantly took to the Ozrics, enjoying a broad specrum of Spacerock, Ambient, Dub, Experimental, Ethnic, Dance and just plain Indescribable. Even though my taste has normally shyed away from pretentious Prog Rock noodlings in the past I have found the Ozrics musical explorations far more logical, clever and enjoyable to my ears than any other I have heard in that genre.
Some parts really amaze me at just how far they can push the envelope of composition whilst still giving the listener a great blissed out atmosphere.
If you've ever wondered about Ozric Tentacles this is a good place to start, as I have found.
I've been going back to this CD again and again and it stands out as one of my favourite buys this year!
