Manufacturer's Description
Enchanted Arms places you in the control of Atsuma, who early in his adventure manages to inadvertently open a seal which revives the fierce Devil Golem. One of the unique aspects of Enchanted Arms is that in combat you rely heavily on Golems artificial life forms built for labor and combat that are customized using material and ether gained through trade, gambling, and combat. You'll make use of Golem support characters as you work through the game's strategic battle system. There are over 100 varieties of Golem to customize.

Solid RPG3
I agree with other reviews that say that this is a solid RPG. It has everything that you expect and everything it does works very well indeed. However, it seems that it could have been easily made for the PS2 (in which case I would have scored it higher!)and so there is a sense of disappointment to play a game that you could easily have played 5 years ago. I partly bought the game on the view that it was similar to Lucifer's Call and I have to say that, apart form some superficial similarities, the gameplay is completely different (also a bit gutting, because Lucifer's Call is one of my favourite games of all time). The gameplay is OK and familiar if you play alot of j-rpg and so playing the game feels very comfortable and, in that way, enjoyable. I suppose I was just expecting so much more from the PS3 then what the game delivers. That said - there currently is a lack of translated japenese RPGs for the PS3 and if you have traded in your PS2 and all your wonderful games (as I have done) then Enchanted Arms helps with the cravings whilst you wait for more games to be developed.

Better than I thought4
I am going to be frank and say that after reading reviews for this game I thought it was a load of rubbish. However I prejudged this game on other peoples experience and decided to play, and I take back everything I said. I have started about 2 hours ago and the game gives very good impressions, O.K some of the voices are dodgy but the gameplay, storyline and graphics all make up for this!!! Overall a very good game that people have underestimated.

Why didn't I play this sooner?!4
I am gonna let you into a little secret, this is a good rpg. I have to admit, I put off getting this game for quite a while. The fact that the selling price for this game has dropped so much, I didn't think it would be any good. But, I was wrong.

Now, I have been playing rpgs for absolutely years, and was looking for something to play on my PS3, so I decided to pick this up. I was quite honestly, plesently surprised. Yeah, sure, it's nothing original, but putting all gripes and comparisons to former rpgs aside, Enchanted Arms is a solid rpg, it really is.

I have played so many rpgs over the years that I can generally sniff out the bad apples after a few hours into the game. I played Enchanted Arms through to the end! I thoroughly enjoyed the game all the way through, the ending was a little bit naff, but apart from that I liked it.

If you are looking for a good rpg, and don't want to be overthrown by the scale of something like Oblivion (which, in fact, I have to admit, I didn't really like), then give Enchanted Arms a try. Even for the price it sells for now, you can't really go wrong.
