Customer Reviews

grand stuff 3
survivor series 2006,when you read fellow reviewers reports certainly falls under an average event classification,i feel that it is a good event but there are bones to pick thats for sure, but in the grand scheme of things a 100 percent wwe event is hard to find, they exist yes,but they dont fall out of trees.
The event featured three survivor series elimination matches,a first blood match,a united states championship match, womans title match and a match for the wwe title so there was variety a plenty.
The problem that some have found is the ease at which some are pinned in the survivor series elimination matches, that has always been the case in truth,if we had matches going with every man giving his all then this event may last 24 hours, its just what it is and i am past worrying about that.
The event featured some great matches and even the womans title match between lita, her last match, and mickie james was a sprightly affair.
The first blood match was good but not overly great, there was little in the way of actual wrestling between the undertaker and the brilliant mr.kennedy but that isnt the name of the game in this match i suppose.
The match between chris benoit and chavo was solid enough as well, some good moves and a great counter into cripple cross face by benoit.
The evenings main event pitted the champ king booker against a title hungry batista and this was a match that looked good, had an all round good feel to it and delivered when it counted.
The elimination matches themselves were all average to good so i myself dont have that many complaints,so with this in mind i am rating this event with 3.5 out of 5.

Could of been better?2
OMG! Pretty Awful if you ask me! Survivor Series always has the potential to be a classic Pay-Per-View. 2006. No.
Matches: (NOT IN ORDER)

Survivor Series elimination match 3/10
Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ron Simmons and Sgt. Slaughter vs The Spirit Squad.
Awful start. Awful ending as Ric Flair eliminates 3 SS members by cheating.

Survivor Series elimination match 7/10
DX, The Hardyz and CM Punk vs Rated RKO, Johnny Nitro, Mike Knox and Gregory Helms
Pretty good match. The best of the night. Ended up being a 5 vs 1 match but there were lots of finishing moves like Sweet Chin Music and Anaconda Vice.

Survivor Series elimination match 6/10
John Cena, Kane, Sabu, Bobby Lashley and RVD vs Big Show, Test, MVP, Finlay and Umaga.
Average match. It sucked having Umaga being eliminated by DQ only seconds into the match. If he had stayed, a win for Big Show's team was 100%. BUT NO! Cena always has to win right? It was cool that Cena F.U.ed Big Show though.

United States Championship Match 3/10
Chris Benoit vs Chavo Guerrero
Lousy and boring. Benoit not on form aswell as Chavo. Benoit makes Chavo tap. BORING! Advice to skip!

Women's Championship Match 3/10
Lita vs Mickie James
YAWN! Need to say anymore?

First Blood Match 6/10
Undertaker vs Mr. Kennedy.
Pretty good match although there wasn't that many proper wrestling moves. Just lame old punches. And then MVP came in and won it for Kennedy by hitting Undertaker with a chair?
WHAT A SPOILER OF A PRETTY GOOD MATCH!

World Heavyweight Championship Match 6/10
King Booker w/ Sharmell vs Batista
OK Match. It was cool how it's Batista's last chance though.

Overall a disapointment for lots of WWE fans worldwide.

What a Waste1
Survivor Series 2006 had the potential to be a very good show, but thanks to bad booking it was awful. Team DX vs Team RKO could have been great, but instead its too short and completely one sided. Though it is good to see CM Punk getting a bigger crowd reaction than DX. Team Cena vs Team Big Show was a joke. It was badly rushed, with participants geting eliminated after recieving one move. It was an insult to anyone who paid to see them. Cena's performance was terrible and he deservedly got booed out of the building. Booker vs Batista was also short. There is also the Spirit Squad youngsters being made look inferior to elderly and semi-retired Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Sgt. Slaughter and Ron Simmons, and a short First Blood match between Kennedy and Undertaker in which barely a single wrestling move is performed.
