Battlefield 2
Well for the person who said the game is a let down you are so wrong, you have many kits to choose from different teams maps etc, and for this price you cant go wrong, as for the idiots online find a well admined server and maybe apply for their clan?
I would recommend buying this game and it is worth every penny.
Thank you amazon for the great prices.
One of the better games around!
I cant fault this game other than for one thing. Graphically it's not up there with Crysis or COD4..but what it lacks in graphics (which are still awesome) it makes up in diverse gameplay.
That said, onto the 1 fault. Ranks and unlocks. Slow is not the word for it. Most casual gamers will NEVER unlock everything in the game (after nearly 3 years of casual playing I still have a few guns to unlock). However, you shouldnt let this put you off. You can pick up ANY fallen soldiers kit if needs be..but more often than not you'll find yourself racing around in a vehical or dog fighting in a jet. I can honestly say the only class thats really desperate for its unlocks is the sniper..and it dosnt take very long at all to get those first 2 unlocks. to check your ranks and unlocks requires visting a website as the ingame info is quite vauge..and awards and badges mean nothing in the long run other than its something you've earned.
Thankfully..the whole unlock and rank system issue was fixed in its follow up Battlefield 2142. To get the best from the Battlefield games I honestly recomend you buy this with BF2142. Both games are similar and very diffrent at the same time.
booster pack rip off
This is a good team shooter with great graphics so it gets one star for that, I unfortunately had to knock 4 stars off.Firstly because off the nonsensical irritating booster pack registration which a month later still denies me access to a game i paid for. After five attempts with different soldier names and email address's ,I find it hard to believe that EA have the nerve to force you to sign up to a members account ,why on earth can't i just input the serial as with the special forces pack?It seems that this is a common problem so don't bank on being able to register your booster packs or use them ,Extremely frustrating! Also after playing online against players who seemed to be cheating it turned out they had the unlocked weapons that are better than newbie weapons turning it into quite a slog to 1 raise your ranking to unlock better weapons and 2 enjoy the game.Just as i was getting close to unlocking new weapons EA decided to lose all my details setting my account back to ZERO!That is probably just bad luck but pretty infuriating and try getting in touch with EA well good luck.To finish my review I'd like to say if you want a good shooter try bf1942 online or single player its great and with none of these problems created by the games own game creators and publisher, my are they losing the plot!
