Good but Flawed
I have had this machine for just over a year and when it works it is excellent. The quality is great, simple to use with very good audio. VHS-DVD works well. However it seems to have a problem with DVD-RW recording. I get about a 40% failure rate either during recording or more annoyingly when finalizing and end up with an unrecognized disc on which ALL data - even previously successful recordings - cannot be read. It has no problems with DVD-R. I have not tried +R or +RW. My original machine was replaced under warranty and now after 6 months the new machine is showing the same problem.
