Album Description
GRINDHOUSE, a downtown movie theater in disrepair since its glory days as a movie palace of the '30s and '40s, known for "grinding out" non-stop double-bill programs of B-movies. From ground-breaking directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez comes the ultimate film experience: a double-bill of thrillers that will call to mind both filmmakers' favorite exploitation films.
Soundtrack by Robert Rodriguez feat.: Songs by Chingon, Nouvelle Vague and Rose McGowan
Customer Reviews
Brilliant all the way through!
This soundtrack is another brilliant thing Robert Rodriguez has bought to us.
This soundtrack sounds very simular in places to John Carpenter which i thought was brilliant as his soundtracks rule. If you liked the film then buy this.
Superb, slick and sexy
Yes death proof was awful. And Planet terror was superb. The soundtracks follow much the same cycle. This is brilliant from the sexy guitar led opener to the brilliance of ghingo and Nouvelle Vague. Couple these elements with some fairly superb vocals from the main cast member you have a classic rodriguez score. Buy it and play it loud as the zombies attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
True genius
Of all the things that make the grindhouse double feature great, the music is one of them, this soundtrack is awesome in so many ways I cant believe people frown on listening to scores they are a big part of what makes a movie. This is cool and may I suggest you also check out more from Rodriguez's soundtracks including the awesome From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado...Death Proof is also fantastic, if you can buy these two together then do it its value and it sounds great.
