1 x 90:00 min Four days after the first SCUD missiles fell on Israel and weeks before the official start of the Gulf war, 8 members of Britain's SAS entered Iraq in secret. With many fearing a nuclear retaliation from Israel, their mission was to find and destroy the source of the missiles being fired. But the operation went spectacularly wrong. The SAS force was discovered and attacked. Some of the men were killed while others tried to escape by walking 200 miles across the Iraqi desert. Essentially abandoned, the men were left to fend for themselves, deep inside Iraq. For the first time, retired USAF General Charles Horner reveals why the men of the Bravo Two Zero Patrol were sent on their perilous mission and surviving members of the team, Cpl. Chris Ryan and Sgt. Andy McNab, recall their harrowing ordeal.

Absolutely brilliant!
This was the best documentry i have ever watched in my life! as a 17 year old who wants to join the SAS my self, i think this film was the only successful attempt of showing what exaclty happened to those brave honored eight men during the horrendous gulf war and how it affected their lives! for the first time in my life i actually cried watching a film. its a must buy for everyone who is interested in SAS! ooh god! i wanna watch it again:)
Interesting but read the books as well
I've read both Andy and Chris's accounts, also Michael Asher and RSM Ratcliffe's books and seen The film with Sean Bean. So I think I can add my two bobs worth.
Its filmed in the US, Nevada I think. Andy presents as the tougher of the two. Chris who was held by the Iraqi's comes out of this the more introspective and you see his face. Andy, is as he will be for a long while yet, and its perogative don't forget,is in silhouette.
This film does show both, as regretting their actions and a few other details I wasn't already across.
Worth a look, though it is a dramatised account and best to get the big picture with the other versions listed above. As the 'debate' about not going in with 'pink panthers' aka Land Rovers is NOT covered at all.
