Manufacturer's Description

It's hard to imagine a single, state of the art design that manages to deliver so much fun in one place. Extending the limits of MP3, the Samsung T9JBA manages to deliver video, on-board gaming, photoviewer, FM radio and voice recording in one slim-gloss black unit. Coupled with the T9's ability to deliver Bluetooth it can be wireless as well (compatible Bluetooth headphones sold separately). You will hardly notice the size or weight in your pocket or hand , but you will notice the features and functionality it delivers. As far as we're concerned the bigger the memory size the better to enjoy your MPEG4 Video footage, MP3 and Gaming. Bring a whole new experience to Samsung portable devices. Enjoy!

    Very Shiney5
Well, what can I say, it's an MP3 player, similar size to the ipod nano, but shiny black so it get fingerprints all over it! Looks really nice and feels solidly build, the only downside is the proprietary cable, lose that at you peril.
I've had mine a few weeks now and no problems so far...The menus do lag a little bit one you've loaded it with tunes, but then I don't spend all my time browsing for albums, and when I do the nice graphics and well laid out menus certainly make up for any lack of response.
The sound is very good, and while I'm not an expert, I'd say it is easily better than my old Creative Zen. The included headphones are fine to start with, but do get a bit uncomfortable after a while. Good thing Amazon are offering a deal with the 4Gear bluetooth headphones...and yes that is possibly the best thing about this it links up via bluetooth to the headphones so once you've set it playing you can put it in a bag or pocket and forget about it. It also links to a mobile phone for answering calls, but if you've got the 4Gear bluetooth headphones you don't really need that, nice touch tho. The only annoying thing with bluetooth is that it doesn't work with the built-in FM radio, but then you need the headphone cable for an aerial, obviously. It also doesn't work with the included games, but since they're not really worth the effort it doesn't matter too much.
Finally the software, Samsung Media Studio5. Although you can just drag & drop music onto the player, it doesn't seem to handle id tags correctly, which forces you to use the software. Fortunately it's pretty good, it no iTunes, but Samsung have obviously thought about it some, and it's easy to use and relatively uncluttered. The shop seems pretty good as well, although I've yet to buy anything from it.
over all, it's a very nice player and certainly gives the nano a run for its money...

    New found love5
I bought this product in an awkward time where I had to wait almost a week because of weekends and a holiday - but it arrived in a day after dispatch, even with Super Saver Delivery, so that made my day. What can I say, the model is sleek, sleeker than a usual ipod nano, boasting its shiny surface and interior flash design to add to the whole image. I didn't realise it was that tiny, and yet the screen is just about adequate to watch a whole movie on. Its like a video ipod and nano fusion (the screen is a little bit bigger than on a nano) When you're tired of your own music (when would that be??) or you're a radio lover, then this model also boasts the ability to catch on major stations as well as the minor. The shiny surface doesn't seem to express fingerprints as much as I thought, unless you had extra oily hands...

The only few downsides are that 'Samsung Media Studio' that they provide, which is great for editing id3 tags, crashes frequently without notice under extensive transfer of music, and the proprietary usb cable. Also, It takes a bit of time transferring a movie into the mp3 because it converts to svid file, but thats for file compression I guess, it managed to turn a 700mb movie into a 200mb so I guess thats not really too much of a downside.

overall, for you love pc over mac, or for people that want a great mp3 but don't want to be ordinary by having an ipod that everyone else has, this is the best pick. I certainly feel special now.

I ORDERED THIS PLAYER TOGETHER WITH THE SONY DR-BT20NX H'PHONES & THE SOUND IS FANTASTIC. THE PLAYER IS AN AMAZING PIECE OF KIT, SO SMALL & EASILY SLIPPED INTO YOUR POCKET, I'M REALLY GLAD I BOUGHT THIS INSTEAD OF AN IPOD AS IT IS MUCH SMALLER, MY FRIEND BOUGHT ONE ASWELL AND HE IS EQUALLY IMPRESSED..
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD THAT I DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE PLAYER AFTER USING IT, WHEREBY IT JUST LOCKED UP & I WAS UNABLE TO EVEN TURN IT OFF, BUT I CONTACTED AMAZON THROUGH THE SYSTEM & THE RESPONSE WAS FANTASTIC, THEY IMMEDIATLY E-MAILED & SENT A REPLACEMENT PLAYER, SO FOR ME I CAN ONLY PRAISE THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM AMAZON AND WILL CERTAINLY CONTINUE TO USE THEM IN THE FUTURE..
