WWE Heating Up Its PPV's
Armaggedon was a great way to end the year for the WWE as this PPV is full of stellar matches and all the superstars give 110%. This is definetly the best WWE PPV for a while and by far the best of the year.

MVP vs Kane (Inferno Match)
This was a great opening contest and really got the crowd going. Great entrance from Kane. MVP showed why he is a star for the future here in the penultamat match of this rivalry. 8/10

London & Kendrik (c) vs Regal & Taylor vs MNM vs Hardys (Ladder Match For WWE Tag Team Titles)
Originally booked as London & Kendrik defending against Regal & Taylor but when Teddy Long came out and introduced MNM & The Hardys the crowd went nuts knowing that this match had gone from a card filler to a possible Match Of The Year Candidate. The superstars don't dissappoint & there is a legitamate bump involving Joey Mercury The Hardys & a ladder. Expect all you would from The Hardys and the rest don't dissappoint either with London & Kendrik also holding their own. 9.5/10

The Boogeman vs The Miz
This match was a card filler with some comedy value. Never really stood a chance after the previous match but did its job. 4/10

Chris Benoit (c) vs Chavo Guerrero w/Vickie Guerrero (U.S. Title)
Good solid match from both competitors but this match was not really about the title it was more about Vickie Guerrero and that was a real shame as it means that the U.S. Title is being overlooked once again 7/10

Gregory Helms (c) vs Jimmy Wang Yang (Cruiserweight Title)
This match was decent but the crowd never really gave it a chance this match is also made entertaining through JBL's commentary rant at the crowd for having no respect. 6/10

Mr. Kennedy vs Undertaker (Last Ride Match)
Match of the night by far. Kennedy proves he has what it takes to be a future chamipion and Undertaker proves he's still got it. Great spot in this match in which Undertaker falls 15 feet to the floor in a moment that make you cringe and look in awe. Far better than the Last Ride match against JBL and should have been the main event. 10/10

John Cena & Batista vs King Booker & Finlay
Good enough main event but had no chance of matching the ability of the previous match. Was only the main event for the fact that both champions are in it. But beside that it is quite entetaining and Cena shows why he is the champ and i think Batista is slightly overrated and his performances have been lacking since his return. Finlay and Booker are 2 of the best and prove it here and carry the match to a higher level. 8/10

Armaggedon was a hguge success for the WWE due to the effort put in from all the superstars. It is worth buying the DVD for the Inferno Match, Ladder Match & Last Ride Match alone but the other matches also make this PPV great. This is definately worth the money so i strongly reccomend that you purchase it.

a good wee event
The end of the years event is armageddon and 2006s was a solid event that is worth checking out,the event opened with an inferno match which sounds deadly and dangerous and brilliant but being only the second one ever featured in WWE this one was no real shakes.
The match featured MVP aganst kane who was in the first ever inferno match ,for those in the dark,the four sides of the ring are set on fire and the winner is the man who sets his rival on fire,but it isnt ever gonna be a head to toe fire,and this match was no exception,being that this match is contained within fire,the pace of it is very slow and sluggish and that carries out into the crowd and if it wasnt for the brilliant commentary by jbl then this match would have been forgettable,it is no wonder that these matches feature so seldom.
Next up was a stunning match,an eight man tag team ladder match for the tag team titles,we had the champions brian kendrick and paul london going up against MNM vs william regal and david taylor vs the hardys and this match was beyond the beyonds,its hard to find enough superlatives for this match,david taylor looked out of place here,but aside from that what you would wish for in an energetic match with high risk moves is achieved and then some,stunning.
The boogeyman and miz was terrible,in fact it even sounds terrible before you see it,fortunately it doesnt last long and that is a blessing.
The united states championship was up for grabs next as the holder chris benoit went up against chavo guerrero in a match that was more about vicki guerrero than anything else,the match wasnt a classic and vicki was a distraction as close ups of her pretending to have sore neck were a bit excessive but that aside both men did their best to give this match a bit of spice and they just about achieved that.
The cruiserweight championship was served up next,the champ greg helms against jimmy wang tang,this was a very good match but the crowd couldnt have cared less and JBL gave off about that again,they didnt care for this match at all,i aint gonna state that the cruiserweight division makes me leap for joy but i know a good match when i see it and this was just that,a good match.
The last ride match featured next,the undertaker going up against mr kennedy,the rules being that you win when your oppenent is beaten to a pulp and fired into the back of a hearse and then driven away,this match was more about great moments than being a great match but there is stuff here that will shock and impress and if you posively have to see blood then you will get that as well,overall a champion match.
The main event was unusual in that the title wasnt up for grabs and being a smackdown only event we also found the RAW champion john cena appearing as the WWE champ batistas tag team partner as they went up against finlay and booker T.I wont kid anyone by saying that this is the match worthy of being a true main event and certainly it was overshadowed by some of what came before but this featured some good work from batista and cena who created a believable energy together so all in all a fine event,3.5 out of 5.

Has it's falls and big up's
The final event of 2006 and with the lack of ECW: December to Dismember WWE had to put on a well worth show and it did happen with Smackdown bringing WWE Armageddon 2006.

Kane vs MVP- Inferno Match

This is a fairly good match but i would of loved MVP to win it but this one is ok Kane does most of the work in the match while MVP looks scared for his life. 7/10

WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal 4 Way Ladder Match- London and Kendrick vs The Hardys vs MNM vs William Regal and Dave Taylor

Match of the night most of the men during the match pulled off big moves London and Kendrick take some good risk taking moves aswell as getting top quality action from The Hardys. William Regal and Dave Taylor do not show much as Regal gets scared to even climb the ladder. MNM's Joey Mercury takes one of the most shocking moves the matt holds both of MNM Jeff does a leg drop then the ladder right in Joey Mercurys face all you then see is blood everywhere and Joey's eye is already shut shocking footage. We then see more high lying action all the way in the match when then Kendrick and London pick up the win the real winers should have been The Hardys or MNM. 10/10

The Boogeyman vs The Miz

Not much of a match very slow and not long The Miz is scared all i can remember is Boogeyman putting worms into The Miz mouth sick but funny. 3/10

WWE United States Championship- Chris Benoit vs Chavo Guerrero

Not a bad match but really it is worth a miss and there is not much worth saying about it this is kind of quality you would get on a normal smackdown broadcast. 4/10

WWE Crusierweight Championship- Gregory Helms vs Jimmy Wang Yang

Pretty good Jimmy Wang Yang is not the most interesting wrestler but Gergory Helms is great but this match i would give half the marks 5/10

The Undertaker vs Mr Kennedy - Last Ride Match

Another good match to the event a lot of this heads out of the ring and the way you have to win is put your opponent in a hearse and drive it out of the arena. Both men take this match outside for quite sometime very little in ring action they fight it out on top of the titantron when Kennedy throws Undertaker off it and believe me the action in the match keeps on coming. 9/10

Batista and John Cena vs King Booker and Finlay

I really do not care about this match i never watched it mainly it involved Cena and we all knew he would win this should not of been the main event. As for not watching this match there is no score. But we know it will have the same moves from Cena as always.

DVD Extra:

There is only one Extra put to this pretty good event shame i would of loved to have seen what happened backstage to MVP i would of loved to here a few words from the teams in the ladder match but we get non other then a match from 1998.
To be honest to have this match on DVD 3 times this is from Unforgiven in your house 1998 and it is Undertaker VS Kane the first ever Inferno match. This match is good we see Paul Bearer bleed a lot of in ring then out of the ring action as i said good match just a bit tired of seeing it oh the match features Vader where Undertaker does a dive on both Vader and Kane great move. I have it already on the WWE Unforgiven 1998 DVD back under the WWF releases and on Tombstone: History of the Undertaker.

Overall good event shame the DVD only had the one extra but this is worth owning and the best event Smackdown has to offer and also this is one of the best events of 2006. 3 matches the Inferno with Kane and MVP, Ladder match and Last Ride match make this event 5/5.
