Editorial Reviews
Manufacturer's Description
It shows subtle shades and smoother graduation of colours, resulting in a more vibrant and natural picture. The limitation of the usual 10bit DAC become in particular apparent while using large screens and projectors.
192kHz/24 bit audio DAC enhances analogue sound input
192KHz sampling enables you to have an accurate representation of the original sound curves. Together with a 24-bit resolution, more information is captured from the original analogue sound wave form, giving a much richer audio reproduction.
High quality outputs for analogue and digital audio
Plays CD, (S)VCD, DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW
Play virtually any disc you want - whether they be CDs, (S)VCDs, DVDs, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW or DVD-RW. Experience unbeatable flexibility and the convenience of playing all your discs on one device.
Plays MP3, WMA and JPEG digital camera photos
Play MP3s, WMA and JPEGs, and experience the convenience of sharing media files on your TV or home theatre system - in the comfort of your living room.
Progressive Scan component video for optimised image quality
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture. Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a sharper picture with no line structure.

It Got Game!!!
I wanted a cheap multi-region DVD player to take the workload off the old and faithful one I got some years ago. I ordered this from Cheapest Electrical on Saturday, got an e-mail on Monday saying that it was despatched and got it Tuesday!! Came in it's own box, well wrapped up with instructions, RC etc.
Set it up in minutes and I chucked in one of my U.S. NBA DVD's and it played straight away!! I didn't need Kalpesh's code at all and I was really impressed. It's a great little unit!!
Great Little Thing!
I received mine today (Friday) and I ordered it on wednesday, so very happy with the speedy delivery. Overall impressions are good, it's a cute little thing, very thin and so will fit anywhere which is good seeing as I am running out of space! The packaging is good also, not a scratch on it. I have tested a few of my dvd's that were a problem for my old player, and so far so good! The picture is good, and sound is good too. And thank you to Kalpesh for the help with the regions, it took less than a minute to do, but now I have to wait until my dvd's arrive from Australia to see if they do work! I recommend this player, even if it is just for general viewing and not intended for multi-regional.
Works great at first but dies after 3 years
This was good value for money and the hack worked, but 3 years into its life, it just up and died. So be warned. I see that most of the great reviews are from people who have had the machine for a short time.
