The DAV-DZ231 5.1 Home Cinema is a top-of-the-line entertainment system that guarantees you an extraordinary high-definition audio/video show! The DAV-DZ231 is equipped with a digital S-Master 24-bit amplification system to deliver 850 W of audio power. The home cinema includes a DVD player amp, 4 satellite speakers, a central speaker and a 140-W subwoofer, and it has Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic audio decoders. The DVD player is compatible with most disc formats, including DivX, MP3 and JPEG. Its Bravia Theatre Sync function enables the system to synchronise itself with any Bravia-series television, while the AV Sync function optimises sound and picture synchronisation with flat-screen TVs. The DAV-DZ231 even has a DCAC microphone calibration function for customising your Surround sound and a built-in RDS tuner for listening to the radio. Great Value
Well I bought the Sony 26S3000 LCD and put it through my 14 year old stereo. Bit of a waste really so went out looking for a reasonable budget surround sound system and decided on this.

I am a total biff when it comes to electronics but wired this up in 5 minutes (even when doing the 'man thing' and not opening the instructions). The connectivity is good and suffices for me - I play my TV, computer and an MP3 player through it with ease.

The sound is really good and I have not even played around with it at all yet.

I am really impressed with the value for money, the ease of actually getting it to work and the sound. Definitely recommended if you are after a good budget system.
