Too Slow
I purchased this for my Laptop to use as a ready boost, however after visa conducts its test it says "this device does not have the required performance
characteristics for use in speeding up your system" So I would say as a cheapish 8GB flash drive it's OK, but don't be misled by Ready Boost Compliant, because it isn't.
Also it does not have a light on it as advertised, if that is important to you.

ReadyBoost ability may depend on how old your laptop is
I read the previous reviews and bought this as a cheap and cheerful 8GB memory drive. The plastic case doesn't feel as solid as other USB drives I have had - it actually feels like cheap plastic - however when I put this in my new 2.5Ghz Penryn laptop to transfer files Vista picked it up and asked if I wanted to use it for its Readyboost feature.
That was first time of inserting and it's working fine since - Vista grabbed 4GB of space for performance enhancement and it's fine. Now I need another USB drive for data transfer!

I would buy this primarily for cheap mass storage and be pleased if it also works as a Readyboost drive. Oh, and the light doesn't come on for simple data use - it only comes on when used as a Readyboost drive - if the light is important for you!
