    Great Entry Level DTS5
    I spent a lot of time looking at DTS and settled on this one from Sony.

    I have a slightly odd shaped living room but the auto calibration facility (it comes with a supplied mic) has produced very pleasing results. The Front Left/Right and Surround(Rear) Left/Right speakers are a fair size, but are reasonably slim and well designed.

    No problems so far. Awesome sound, and the upscalling DVD has produced great results on the Panasonic 42" Plasma I have.

    This is not the best DTS out there, but for the money, its a great buy.

    One of the main reasons I chose this particular system was because I also have a Sony TV, which means I can use the theater sync function. The upscaling produces a very good picture.
    I have found that some other 5.1 home cinema systems I have heard at friends and families homes can produce sound that is confusing in that suddenly one of the speakers seems too loud and drowns the other speakers out, so you don't hear the dialog (for instance) properly or, sometimes the bass is overpowering. This is not so with this system. I think that sound calibration set up realy sorts this problem out. It results in a very well propertioned sound that represents what is happening in what you are vewing. The bass is in balance with the sound in that it does not over power but does kicks in when it should and is very evident and loud on explosion ect.
    On the whole very pleased with the system, only negitive is that it does not have a digital optical in. For the money a good buy.
