    Lasted 3 weeks1
I bought this just over a year ago to keep the kids happy on long journeys. One hour into a journey from southern France to Sheffield the damn thing broke and never worked again. Had to use Mogodon instead. Oh, and when it was working it was so quiet that no-one could hear it unless operating in library conditions. Avoid.

    very impressed so far5
got this player a few week ago now to take on holiday to keep the kids happy in the back of the car, and i cant praise this unit enough.

i personnal did not run the firmware update that come in the pack since most reviews i have read always seem to mention the firmware update just before it breaks, ok this is my person feeling and am probably wrong but hey.

as for the player so far it has played everything i have thrown at it which some much more expensive players dont play (major bonus when i have a lot of video files on my computer) battery life i am unsure on as i have not run it flat yet however it gives over 2 hours (longest i have run it on the battery alone), for previous poster you recharge the battery using the mains adaptor which plugs directly into the opposit side of the battery to the cable.

the player comes with a cable to attach it to your main TV if you wish of which is a very helpful feature especially since it allowed me to use it on the TV provided in our holiday accommodation instead of just the basic 5 channels we would have had so as you can imagine i have given this player a lot of stick (probably a good couple of hours a day) and i am still using it at home to play my files that i have burnt of the computer on my main TV.

the sound quality is good if a little low however you can easily hear it if you are in the room on your own, this is rectified when using headphones or when you have pluged it into your TV so is not a problem as i see it, picture quality is great as well as good as any DVD player i have used so far

all in all very happy with my purchase

    Broke after 1 week1
Player was working fine for only 7 days. Then refused to read ANY dvd or cd put into it (even though for the previous few days it had played them no problem). I sent it back and was given a refund.
The other rather uncomfortable thing about this player is that it can only be turned off by using a switch on the side of the player. It is not possible to do it using the remote. Quite unhandy if one wants to watch a movie and then e.g. go to sleep without having to get up to switch off the device.
