Exceeds Expectations!!
This television offers outstanding picture quality and unbeatable value for money.

If you are looking to purchase a 40" lcd television, I cant imagine a better option. With 1080p & 15000 x 1 contrast ratio it easily competes with lcd tv's in far higher price brackets of around £1500!!

I am extremely fussy when purchasing electronics and would never compromise on performance or quality, but I seriously cannot find fault with this product.

It is a stunning looking tv, with the simple hi gloss, curved design, only an LG comes close for styling.

The electronic programme guide is better than many.

My tv is badly angled towards floor to ceiling, south facing picture windows and I suffer from hardly any glare, even on the sunniest of days I dont need to pull the curtains!

I have not upgraded to a hi definition dvd recorder yet but you would never know it, my current dvd recorder is 1080i with no hdmi output and I have owned it for a while, but upgrading to this tv has made it feel like I am using a blu ray player. Even friends with Hi Def or Blu Ray have commented on the similarity of quality.

I did some serious research before my puchase and I would not consider any other tv after owning this. Look no further.

Nice bit of kit
I bought this TV specifically for watching television, including dvd movies.

It works!

It is easy to set up. Digital channels are displayed very well to the extent you can clearly see the programmes that have been recorded on higher definition cameras. DVDs are excellent, even on a 4 year old hard drive including DVD player.

Looks like I am now going to upgrade the DVD hard drive as I can see the difference in quality now that I couldn't see before.

Excellent prices around now for this very good quality. Some people complain about the sound but I have experienced no problems with sound quality.

Brillinat TV, brilliant value!
This is my first LCD TV, and I'm well happy with it! I've upgraded from a 28" flat-screen monstrosity and I'm loving it!

The picture is incredible, and it was so easy to set up and connect to my PC, V+ cable box and Xbox.

I do have one or two gripes though - the remote isn't very responsive - you have to press the buttons really quite hard which means that you can't quickly scroll through the menus or anything. I also would have liked an easier to use quick menu to select the input. If I want to go from watching cable to watching a DVD on the Xbox it takes 5 or 6 seconds to flick through the input sources to get there.

Don't let that put you off though, it's a wonderful piece of kit, and pretty simple to use - I'm just quite impatient! ;)
