Good but ...
I bought this item because of the previous reviews saying its a good item. I do agree as it does indeed cool down the ps3 quite alot BUT it could either be just my item or all in general but it feels very weak and flimsy. My fan set keeps sliding off (I have my ps3 sideways) and unless i use the stand then the fans slide off. There are no clips or fixes to keep both items secure to the ps3. The only thing stopping them from moving is friction. There are some small rubber feet which stick to the ps3 that keeps them in place but to get the stand and fan on you need to physicly slide them on which is easy ... meaning they can also easily slide back off without your help - not good.
In all would I recommened buying this? YES.
For the price and the job it does it will stop your £400 machine from overheating. The fan speed is also adjustable for when your ps3 gets hot enough to fry an egg.
Good item but shame it has no clips or clamps.
Great Buy
Since all the other coolers seem crap i tried out this one. It works great, my PS3 is cool to the touch and you can feel the hot air blasting out of it, and it doesn't drain too much power from the ps3 like other ones.
Graet buy
Does the job for me and I own one!
I have looked at the other fan systems on this site and I really didn't like the idea of placing fan over fan. I bought this one to try and cool my PS3 as before it use to chuck out molten hot air and it still does chuck out hot air from the rear but it's no way as hot as it use to be with this cooling system as the air is distributed through both the rear and the top of my PS3 which is the correct way heat should be extracted so it's doing the job and silently. All in all I have had no problems with this unit and I use it all the time. I do agree that some fan systems may do more damage than harm but I do not believe this is one of them however I do not own the other systems to be able to comment. If people don't own the the systems they review then I'd take their words with pinch of salt.
