Perfect for drowning out the kids arguing in the back seat..
A fantastic album which might even have those little monsters in the back seat reducing the number of times they say "are we there yet?" Some great steering wheel tappers for those queue's on so called fast roads and for the times spent behind our perennial, out of mothballs for the summer, caravan cousins...

Excellent compilation with quality songs throughout. CD1 is defiantly 'oldies' with pratically all of the songs lurking on my MP3 player already. CD2 opens up the more recent driving songs and were not so familiar - however I took the CD in the car , cranked it up and sure enough both discs work on a long drive.
I have now added the songs I was missing to my Driving playlist on the MP3 but for the car this is 38 cracking songs.
Of course there are some of my favourites missing ' Tom Petty - Runing Down a Dream, Kiss 'Detroit Rock City', UFO ' Let It Roll' and Kenny Loggins ' Danger Zone' (a song with 3 points written all over it) but overall spot on
Minor niggle there is a reference to Tom Petty on the sleeve notes but nothing on the discs ..

Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin
Usually when I buy compilation CDs, I find that there are a few good, recognisable songs (usually the first few on each CD), and the rest are either a) crap, or b) by a really good band, but one of their lesser known songs. Not this CD. Almost every song on it is both recognisable and actually very good (particularily for driving).
The first CD is (as described in the booklet) from the earlier 90's Top Gear, which featured classic songs from such bands as Queen, Meatloaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Motorhead. The second CD features more recent hits from such bands as Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and Blur. And also most all songs are one of those band's best/most popular tracks (eg. Queen - Don't Stop Me Now, Coldplay - Clocks, etc)
All of these songs are great for driving with, and really make me wish I had a convertible, so I could put the roof down, whip on the sun glasses, crank the volume way up and scream down the Motorway at 90 mph. As the title states, this CD does exactly what it says on the tin in that it gives you some of the best driving anthems you can get for your money! Buy it immediately!
