Synopsis
Like a small-screen version of THE SIXTH SENSE, the popular television series GHOST WHISPERER is a supernatural drama of the paranormal. Executive produced by real-life medium and author James Van Praagh (TALKING TO HEAVEN), the series centres on a small-town antiques-store owner, Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt, PARTY OF FIVE), who realizes she has the ability to communicate with ghosts. Melinda puts her unique skills to work by helping the dead find emotional closure while depending on her paramedic husband, Jim Clancy (David Conrad, ROSWELL), and her friend and business partner, Andrea Moreno (Aisha Tyler, FRIENDS) for moral support. The series' debut season is presented in its entirety with this collection of 22 episodes featuring guest appearances by Wentworth Miller (PRISON BREAK), Anne Archer (THE LOST WORLD), Christine Baranski (CYBILL), and Katey Sagal (MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN).

Underappreciated!
Ghost Whisperer is one of the best programmes on TV. It mixes scare factor, romance, and good acting into one programme (Including some stunning episode - The two part finale was AMAZING!). Half of the episode is usually quite scary, and the other half is the resolution. Usually everything gets resolved within one episode, and we get to see flashbacks of how it happened, and also some flashbacks of how Melinda got her powers! Definately Recommeneded - It's a must buy, and a must see!

Similar to many others
This is similar to others in the same genre - especially Medium (another talk to the dead series). If you are into this kind of thing then the stories will be very, very familiar.

Saying that, it is a slickly produced series. The lead can come off as a little smarmy at times, though she appears to be trying to be concerned and understanding.

Overall, if you can overlook the repeated story lines from other series, it's ok and when you get to a story that you haven't seen for a while it can be ok - but if you have watched Medium recently you will have already seen the stories.

Best programme on tv!
I absolutely love "Ghost Whisperer". I've never seen the whole series because i only started watching it about halfway through when my mum got me into it. Jennifer Love Hewitt is fantastic in it as Melinda.
The series is funny, romantic, and sad (especially in the last 2 episodes)
I've been waiting for months for this to come out on DVD I was considering getting it imported from america but then noticed it was finally coming out over here, can't wait to see the whole series.
Please please please let there be a second series!
