Brilliant for sims fans.5
I have to say that I totally disagree with the bad reviews this game has been getting. I also have the sims on the PC and I'm so pleased that I can now play it on the wii as well. Ok, so you have to go into the main menu to buy things, build and find out about your relationships etc but I find this a small price to pay for how good the game is; I found it didn't actually take that long to load anyway. I also found the camera easy to control, you just hold down Z on the nunchuk and move the control stick. The pets are so adorable and the town square is great place to go for socialising and to buy things for your pet. Obviously game play is going to be different to that of the PC games because you are using totally different controls. It may take a while to get used to moving around especially if you haven't played on your wii that much. I also found moving from person to person easy, all you have to do is hold B then switch to whoever you want to play as. Both myself (22 yrs) and my 8 year-old niece love this game and I will be playing it for a long time to come as well as not forgetting the PC version. Recommended.

Avid sims fans, prepare to be disappointed2
I was so excited to learn that sims had come out on the wii, i expected it to have all the great features of the sims 2 on pc but with the added features that the wii provides. However, the game play is very slow, you have to go into the games main menu to buy items which takes time to load, the same goes for the requirements for a job promotion. The needs are displayed up the side which blocks off half the screen rather than being on the bottom and to be honest gameplay is nothing like the PC game. There is no fast forward function (that i have found) and the feature of being able to put leftovers back in the fridge has been removed and you have to again buy food as you want it like the very first sims games.

The view is difficult to get right with you basically walking round the house rather than having an overview, and changing from person to person is also not as easy as on the PC. To be honest i have had it for about 3 weeks and only spent about 30mins on it prefering to revert back to my sims 2 seasons on my laptop.

good but has it's faults3
i'm a big fan of the sims games. if you are to then i'm sure you know about problems they can cause with your computer. so despite some of the negative views i thought i would give it a go on the wii.
the game seems to be a combination of the original sims (as they never age) and the sims 2 (as pet's appearence reflect their parents). although it is a wii game the graphics are still pretty good. at first it is exciting and you will spend hours with it but after a while it get's repetative. you find you don't have enough time to do what you want as basic needs such as using the toilet take up so much time. if you would like to jump straight into normal gameplay i suggest you play in a lot with a precreated family. i enjoyed creating my own families but after moving them into a lot they didn't have much money for basic items. the main fault with the game is crashing. whatever you do save your game regularly, don't make the mistake i did where i lost a new puppy, a promotion, unlocked items, newly bought items and newly decorated rooms. what i found worth while was the uniqueness of the pets, creating them and watching how their personality affects the everyday.
