DVD Description
Twenty-two years ago, Sam (played by Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. As a result, their father, John (recurring guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan from Grey's Anatomy), raised the brothers to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it. Sam, however, wanted nothing to do with this violent and dangerous life, and he left it behind, until the day Dean appeared on his doorstep with troubling news. Their father had gone missing on a "hunting trip". Sam and Dean have spent the last year cruising the highways of America in their 1967 Chevy Impala, searching for their lost father and encountering creatures that most people believe exist only in folklore, superstition and nightmares. Along the way, they have battled the various supernatural threats--and each other as well, for their sibling rivalries and conflicts were never far from the surface. Finally, they found their father, just as he was closing in on the Demon who claimed their mother.

Synopsis
When their mother is brutally murdered by a demonic spirit, brothers Dean and Sam are changed forever. As a result, their father, John, raises the boys with an almost obsessive paranoia about the paranormal and trains them in the ways of ghost-busting. As Sam gets older, he longs for a quiet life with his girlfriend, away from the dangers that come with battling malignant spirits. But when John mysteriously disappears, Sam and Dean are forced to relive their demon-slaying days as they scour the country in search of their father. Unbeknownst to them, their journey is taking them ever closer to the evil entity that claimed their mother’s life. Presented here is the second instalment of the show’s second series.

Hallelujah - we have winchesters - and ***** extras *****
The dvd's arrived today - and shock of all shocks - there are extras - see moaning pays off.

As always great episodes and there will be a third series (campaigning pays off again).

Extras include a "gags reel" and two episode commentaries - would have like more stuff than that but somethings better than nothing

Some of the best episodes so far
Loved the second half of the season- especially Tall Tails and What was and what should never be and of course the series final, All Hell breaks loose. I think Jensen Ackles' (Dean) acting is amazing and he really delievers and is able to bring such emotion to the show. Jared Padalecki (sam) has really grown into his role as sam.
Also, this season dvd, we get to have special features! Including commentries and bloopers.
The only thing i would say was that the behind the scnes documentry on All Hell breaks loose part 2 is kind of hidden and to get to it, you will have to go onto the devils map thing and find 22- i thought it was weird to be hidden like this!
Anyway, Love the show, love the boys and love Supernatural!!

Brilliant!!
The second half of S2 really picked up impetus and the episodes are all excellent. Highlights are Born Under A Bad Sign (a truly stunning performance from Jared Padalecki in this episode), Heart (get the tissues ready), Nightshifter, Tall Tales (which will have you screaming with laughter) and the two parter finale which is just heart stopping at times...not to mention heart breaking and which sets up a whole new load of questions and intrigue for S3. The acting from Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as Sam and Dean is just incredible, these two young actors deserve all the credit they get, they really are a very talented pair of young men.

Truly the best thing on television these days.
