This is how to make a second album....5
DOGS have returned with this, the follow up to 2005's 'Turn Against This Land' which stormed the industry in 2005 to critical acclaim.

Refreshed and bringing a more masterful sound to their work which still maintains the gritty raw passion of 'Turn' - 'Tall Stories' is a must for any serious indie/rock/punk collector

There is something on here for anyone. The anthemic Dirty Little Shop, the viscious energy of 'This Stone is a Bullet', the spine tingling riff to 'Forget it All' and 'Who are you?', The acoustic melodies of 'Let it Lay (ft.Paul Weller) and 'By The River' and the rip-roaring 'Soldier On'

Every track is quality, sheer utter and astonishing quality........

Very consistent5
I enjoyed "Turn against this land" a lot, and it doesn't happen that much that a band that had a great debut manages to release a follow up just as good. But it happened twice this year first "Favourite Worst Nightmare" by Arctic Monkeys and now "Tall Stories from Under the Table" by The Dogs.

This is a brilliant album from a Clash-influence band (mostly in music but also in lyrics) that holds on to its own characteristics as well. This album is definitely among my top favourites from this year.

And I hope more people get the chance to listen to and appreciate this great music.

Cracking 2nd album4
Brilliant follow up to 'Turn against this land'. The fact DOGS aren't huge is a travesty. Buy it - you won't be dissapointed. And see them live - they are amazing
